The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Dr Eze Chikamnayo has appealed to Abians to embrace love, peace and brotherliness in the conduct of the electioneering campaigns.
Dr Chikamnayo who was speaking with newsmen in Umuahia emphasized that what should be uppermost in the minds of Abians is the growth and development of the State’s economy especially as its affects the future of Abia children and not just their selfish political inclinations and other narrow considerations .
The Information boss praised Governor Okezie Ikpeazu whose era of peace and accelerated development has ushered in an atmosphere of tranquility which is conducive for the conduct of electioneering campaigns in the State.
He however warned against the introduction of thurggery, banditry and any form of violence that will threaten the existing peace in the state by any politicians, pointing out that with the excellent performance of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu in all segments of society, Abians should seek to consolidate on the gains of the past seven years under the pragmatic leadership of the Governor.
Dr Chikamnayo used the forum to reassure Abians of the resolve of Governor Ikpeazu to continue to work for the State till his last day in office and called for total support and prayers for the Governor.
