ABIA INFORMATION BOSS SAYS THE MINISTRY IS COMMITTED TO PROVIDING RELEVANT AND VALUABLE SERVICES.

The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Dr Eze Chikamnayo says the ministry is committed to providing relevant and valuable services that will enable institutions and Communities to get informed on the activities of government.

Dr Chikamnayo who stated this during the budget defence of the ministry at the State Planning Commission Conference Room, Umuahia noted that the Ministry guides information systems, management and dissemination in the State and described the budget defence as transparent and timely.

The Commissioner explained that the ministry has introduced a documentary series titiled, “The Abia Information Series, realized the full digitization of the BCA, reactivated the department’s KORD sixty-four printing machine and pollar one hundred and fifteen. Guillotine cutting machine among others.

He expressed confidence that the current innovations will help to actualize programme and reiterated the commitment of the ministry to work in line with Governor’s vision to make the state others.

Speaking, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Deaconess Caroline Igwe thanked them for the warm treatment and promised to move the ministry forward.

In his remarks, the Director General of the BCA, Sir Anyaso Anyaso noted that the corporation has increased its Airtime and improved on its reception and coverage connected to the National Grid among other innovations.

He said Training and Retraining of Staff, partnership with relevant bodies as well as improved revenue windows are some of the recent innovations in the Corporation and expressed the hope that the 2023 budget year will add more values to the corporation.

In her remarks, the Executive Secretary, Abia State Planning Commission, Dr Mrs. Nnenna Chikezie noted that the system will have a good positive effect on the ministries and parastatals and thanked them for the proper presentation.
