Sir, Don Ubani

The Deputy Chief of Staff, Office of the Deputy Governor Sir Don Ubani has reminded the electorates in Umuiku-Isi-Asa, Ukwa West Local Government Area, of the good things the PDP led Government in the State has done for the People of the Community.

Sir Ubani who disclosed this during a sensitization meeting for the community at his country home in Asa enumerated them to include the granting of Autonomous Community Status to them, Creation of a State Electoral Ward, Comprehensive Electrification of the Community, Construction of Nkwo Market and Renovation of the Community’s dilapidated Primary School.

He also pointed out the Establishment of a Secondary School, Renovation and Equipping of the Community’s Primary Health Centre, including Donation of a Brand New Ambulance, Commencement of Tarring of Umuiku-Isi-Asa-Ariaria Express Road Junction, Appointment of an Umuiku-Isi-Asa Son as a  Commissioner for Information and Strategy and Currently Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, Appointment of an Indigene of the Community as a Part-time Member of the Board of Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Endorsement of an Indigene of the Community as Leader of Ukwa-West Legislative Council, Appointment of Special Assistants to the Governor and Employment of some Youths of Umuiku-Isi-Asa in the Public Service of Abia State.

The Deputy Chief of Staff called on the people to reciprocate the PDP’s regard for them by voting for candidates of the Party in the forthcoming 2023 general election.

Sir Ubani used the opportunity of the meeting to convey Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s assurance that Ariaria-Umuiku-Isi-Asa Road will be made motorable this ember month.

Contributing, the Member representing Ukwa-West State Constituency, Chief Godwin Adiele, commended the People of Umuiku-Isi-Asa for their steadfastness in the PDP and implored them to continue having faith in the Party.                                        

In their speeches, the Leader of the Party in Umuiku-Isi-Asa, Chino Ahunnanya, Chairman of PDP in Umuiku-Isi-Asa, Onyekachi Wogu, Assistant Secretary of PDP in Ukwa-West Local Government Area, Mrs Nnenna Godfrey Wogu all called on the people to remain supportive of the PDP led administration in the state.

In their remarks the Woman Leader of PDP in the Ward, Mrs Uchechi Okere, Chairman of Umuiku-Isi-Asa Community Development Council, Mr Onyedikachi Onyema and the Traditional Prime Minister of Umuiku-Isi-Asa Autonomous Community, Chief Henry Okere, stated that the PDP has been very useful in the development of the Community and pledged to deliver all Candidates of the Party come 2023.

The sensitization meeting attracted the presence of the Deputy Chairman, Ukwa-West Local Government Council, Chief John Ajuzieogu, some friends of Sir Don Ubani among others.
