GOVERNMENT ORDERS SUSPENSION OF STATE NUT DELEGATES CONFERENCE.
The State Ministries of Basic and Post Basic Education have ordered the immediate suspension of the planned Delegates Conference of the State Wing of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) scheduled for Thursday and Friday this week.
A release jointly signed by the Commissioner for Basic Education Chief Ukwu Rocks Emma and his Post Basic Education Counterpart, Sir Chijioke Mark says the suspension is as a result of serious and vehement threats arising from the planned Delegates Conference.
The release adds that the measure is to forestall breakdown of law and order.
