RELIGIOUS LEADERS CALL FOR END TO SOUTH SUDAN CLASHES.

Religious Leaders in South Sudan have called on parties to the conflict in Upper Nile State in the North of the country to implement a ceasefire amid escalating hostilities.

The Chairman Interdenominational Upper Nile Initiative for Peace and Reconciliation, Father Paolino Deng, in a statement said, there are growing concerns that the renewed fighting might derail the implementation of the revitalized peace agreement signed in September 2018 to end a five-year civil war.

He described the violence, which has displaced many people, including women, children and the elderly as unnecessary and called on President Salva Kiir and parties to the peace agreement to take immediate action to stop the violence.
