The wife of the Governor, Dr. Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu, has described harvest and thanksgiving as a period of showing appreciation to God gratitude for all His mercies.
Dr. Mrs. Ikpeazu who stated this at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Ehimiri, during their annual harvest and thanksgiving service, thanked the Church for the support and prayers for the present administration.
The wife of the Governor described the programme as a time to celebrate God’s love unto humanity and urged the Church not to relent in their good works in the God’s vineyard.
In his sermon, the guest preacher, Pastor K. K. Uguru, charged the members of the church to reciprocate the goodness of God towards mankind, and commended the wife of the Governor, Dr. Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu and her husband, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu for their support to the Church and prayed God to bless them.
Our Government House correspondent, Vincent Okogbuo, reports that the wife of the Governor commissioned the Church’s manse built by her family for the Church, while the event was attended by notable personalities.
