The President General of Azueke Development Association, Mr. Tony Onyenweaku has enjoined the people of Azueke Ibeku in Umuahia North Local Government Area to ensure support and actively take part in the forthcoming grand civic reception in honour of their traditional ruler, Eze Emmanuel Onwubuariri.

Mr. Onyenweaku who made the call after receiving a report from the Central Planning Committee on the grand civic reception of their traditional ruler during a special monthly meeting comprising men, women and youths of the Community pointed out that the ceremony is part of their strategy to bring development and strengthen the existing peace and unity in the community and commended the Committee for their relentless efforts at ensuring a successful event.

Earlier in his remarks, Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, Chief Ikechukwu Onuoha represented by his Secretary, Mr Iyke Onuegbu disclosed that all arrangements are being concluded to actualize a hitch-free civic reception in honor of  Eze Onwubuariri slated for Thursday next week 29/12/22 at Ahiaeke Playground at eleven o’clock in the morning.

 According to him, the occasion will be chaired by a legal luminary and Senior Advocate of Nigeria Chief Okey Amaechi, with many dignitaries expected to attend including the Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu who is the Chief Guest of Honor, the Speaker State House of Assembly, Chief Chinedum Orji as the Special guest of Honor, while Senator T. A. Orji will be father of the Day.

In their speeches, Mrs. Elizabeth Nwachukwu, Mrs. Chidinma Amajor and Mr Chukwudi Ogbonna expressed their happiness, satisfaction and support with the planned reception describing it as a noble initiative for peace and development.

The event will also feature fundraising for a five hundred million Naira Ultra-Modern Civic, chieftaincy installations and awards to deserving personalities that have made positive impacts in the development of the society.
