At least thirty-six people have been injured, eleven seriously, after a Hawaiian Airlines flight from Phoenix to Honolulu was hit by severe turbulence.

One of the passengers who did not give his name said the shaking became so severe that they were floating off from their chains.

Reports say two people were taken to Local Hospitals with injuries ranging from lacerations, brushing and loss of consciousness to head injuries.

According to the reports, there were two hundred and seventy eight passengers and ten crew on board the airbus, A330-200 yesterday when the flight incident happened, shortly before the plane came in to land at Honolulu’s Daniel K Inouye International Airport.
