The remains of Ezinne Oyediya Agbai Ijioma have been laid to rest in her country home, Ifungwu Amaeke, Abiriba in Ohafia Local Government Area.
Speaking while condoling the bereaved family after a Commendation Service held by the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Umuokahia Excellent Parish, Aba at Bourdex Event Centre Roundabout, Abiriba, the Deputy Governor, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu described Ezinne Oyediya Agbai Ijioma as a remarkable woman of substance that did her best to ensure that her children got established in life, and also contributed towards the development of Ifungwu Amaeke Community and beyond.
Sir Oko Chukwu described the death as a great loss not just to members of the immediate family, but the entire Abiriba Community, the Church and society at large and urged them to take heart.
The Deputy Governor further condoled the brother to the deceased, Chief David Ogba Onuoha and other family members and urged them not to mourn like those without hope, but to take solace in the worthy life their Sister and Mother lived and prayed God to give them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss as well as grant the soul of the deceased eternal rest.
Responding on behalf of the family, Chief David Ogba Onuoha popularly known as Bourdex said that though they are devastated at the demise of their beloved Sister, they are however grateful to God for using her to impact on the lives of people that came in contact with her and thanked everyone that came to identify with them in their moment of grief.
Late Ezinne Oyediya Agbai Ijioma who died at the age of Seventy-Three, is survived by children, grandchildren and a host of other relatives.
Our Government House Correspondent, Mercy Kalu reported that Top Government Officials, Aides of the Deputy Governor, Political Stalwarts, Captains of Industry, Traditional Rulers including the Enachioken of Abiriba Kingdom, Eze Kalu Kalu Ogbu, the Clergy and other notable personalities, attended the burial.
