UMUNNEOCHI YOUTHS TASKED ON TACKLING INSECURITY IN THEIR AREA.

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has called on the people of Umunneochi  to vote for PDP candidates to ensure the socio-economic liberation of the people.

Governor Ikpeazu who was speaking while commissioning projects executed by the Chairman, Umunneochi Local Government Area, Chief Ifeanyi Madu, said that it is only the PDP that has offered Umunneochi and Isuikwuato people partnership, adding that other parties are known for empty promises.

He noted with joy that it is under the PDP government that an Nneato person was elected as Chairman of Umunneochi, in addition to an Isuochi man becoming a deputy Governor if PDP becomes victorious in the forthcoming general elections.

The State Chief Executive congratulated the Chairman for his accomplishments, adding that Chief Madu has through his stewardship, written his name in gold and opened the doors for other sons and daughters of the community.

The Governor used the forum to charge youths of Umunneochi to partner security agencies and stakeholders in the area to tackle insecurity in the area.

In his remarks, the State PDP Governorship Candidate, Professor Uche Ikonne, represented by his running mate, Chief Okey Igwe, thanked the Governor for remembering Umunneochi people in the scheme of things and assured him that they would vote massively for the PDP in the 2023 general elections.

In an address, the Chairman, Umunneochi Local Government Area, Chief Ifeanyi Madu said that the projects being commissioned were products of the love and support of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for his administration and Umunneochi people at large.

Our Government House Correspondent, Ezechukwu Adimoha, reports that highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of award of honour as “The Most Performing Governor Abia has ever Produced”   to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu by  Nneato Traditional Rulers Council and was witnessed by the Commissioner for Information, Dr. Eze Chikamnayo, among other stakeholders.
