The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Joe Osuji has charged staff of the ministry to be more committed to their primary assignments.

Dr. Osuji who made the call during the first morning devotion of the ministry for the year noted that numerous programmes have been lined up for the new year to take the health sector to another level and expressed the hope that the workers will give the needed support.

In a sermon earlier, the Director, Medical Laboratory Services, Pastor Okey Ihemamma, enjoined the staff to approach their challenges rightly in order to succeed in whatever they do.

Citing the Biblical Goliath who was on top of the mountain to fight the Israelites, Pastor Ihemamma harped on the need for them to answer the call of God and be able to tackle the challenges they might face within the year.

Correspondent Chinyere Iheanacho Egbulam reports that the devotion featured prayers for Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, State and the nation.
