GOVERNMENT RECEIVES CHILD’S RIGHT LAW REVIEW COMMITTEE’S REPORT.

The state government has received report of the Child’s Right Law Review committee set up in April last year to review the child’s Right Law 2026.
Receiving the report from the Chairman of the committee, Apostle Innocent Akomas, the Secretary to the State Government , Mr. Chris Ezem thanked the members for job well done, noting that the document will receive the attention of government.
He decried the bad treatment meted on some children, including trafficking, maltreatment, and Child abuse , pointing out that the committee was set up to review the child’s right law to ensure the safety and security of Abia children.
Presenting the report on behalf of members of the committee, the chairman child’s Right Law Review committee, Apostle Innocent Akomas said they did thorough job despite challenges and came up with the draft report the recommendations.
He expressed the hope that the recommendations will be implemented for the benefit of the Abia Child and thanked Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for the opportunity given them to serve.
