The Governor Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has promised to bequeath Abians a Health Village and an Ultra Modern Laboratory before the end of his tenure.
Dr. Ikpeazu, who stated this while featuring on a Radio Programme in Umuahia, said that his administration has greatly improved health care services through the Tele-Health initiative.
On Education, Governor IKpeazu noted that the free school feeding Programme increased enrollment into public schools from one hundred and fifty thousand in 2015 to over seven hundred thousand at present.
The state Chief Executive made it known that over fifty Abia Youths are presently studying abroad courtesy of the Abia state Scholarship Board, assuring that more Youths will soon benefit from the Board.
He disclosed that his administration will not relent in its efforts to nip in the bud security threats within and around Umunneochi and parts of Isuikwuato Local Government Areas, adding that the information center domiciled in Government House has added impetus to the security architecture of the state.
On trade and commerce, He noted that his administration has completed an operationalized the Eyimba Automated shoe factory, while equipment for the garment factory has arrived and will soon commerce operation, adding that the Abia Micro finance Bank set up by his Government has aided the growth of small businesses in the state.
The Governor said he has done over one hundred and fifty roads across the state with three major bridges while the second phase of the Umuokpara ring road will soon take off.
Dr. Ikpeazu while thanking Abians for keeping faith with his administration for the past seven years, urged them to sustain their support for the PDP for greater democracy dividends.
