2 Policemen Killed In Clash With Soldiers In Taraba.
The Taraba State Police Command yesterday accused soldiers of shooting two policemen to death at a military check point close to the INEC headquarters in the Jalingo area of the State.
Confirming the development to Newsmen, the State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Abdullahi Usma, said two other policemen who sustained injuries during the attack are currently receiving treatment in the hospital.
He also noted that the soldiers after perpetrating the crime ran away with the rifles of the Policemen.
The PPRO added that an investigation will be conducted to ascertain the cause of the incident.
According to him, the State Commissioner of Police, Yusuf Suleiman and the Commander six Brigade, Brigadier General Frank Etim, have met, discussed and agreed that a commission of enquiry be set up to look into the cause of the incident.
